Roger Dominguez and his wife, Carmen Fiallos, have dedicated their lives to the production of coffee at Márcala in La Paz. The name of their 1,512masl coffee farm is called “Finca Las Flores”. They grow Catuai variety and have different types of trees (musaceas, guachipilin, pepeto, and orange) planted to provide coffee plants with the necessary shade for their growth.
Finca Las Flores works hard on each process, using very strict standards of quality, harvesting only the ripest of cherries. Their goal is to improve their milling process and to become specialty coffee exporters. They dry the coffee under the sun and constantly check the quality by taking samples to the IHCAFE lab. They are part of the Origin Denomination project that has been supported by IHCAFE.
